Story : Last time, history professor Subarna Sen AKA Sonada visited Manikantapur along with Abir and Jhinuk. This time, the trio visited Durgeshgor where the Deb Ray family’s Durga Puja is popular. Once upon a zamindar family has some myths of their own. One such myth is about a treasure of Jagat Sheth!
The history goes back to 1857, the battle of Palashi where Bengal’s last independent Nawab Siraj Ud Daulah was assassinated by his own people. Jagat Sheth, the man who used to win more wealth than the British royalty at that time, was among those who conspired against young Siraj. Raja Krishnachandra joined their team in exchange for a humongous amount of money from Sheth. Is it the same treasure, does the treasure really exist? Sona Da must find out.
What’s Good: Performances by the lead and supporting cast.A perfect combination of history and fantasy.
What’s Bad: The idea of interfering with subject as popular as this, even without having enough good resources to not surpass but reach what has been done in the 90s.
Loo Break: Maybe a single in the first half but that levels with a superb interval point as you won’t go out in the mid-break.
Watch or Not?: Watch it ! Don’t keep your expectations high.
