Thousandlights recently unveiled a captivating music video titled “Laila,” featuring Ark and Mahi, under their banner. The song, part of a Bengali music album, was revealed amidst the presence of journalists at the company’s headquarters. Director and choreographer Ravi Kumar Hari, along with actor Sandesh Dandekar and multi-talented artist Suman Murari, graced the event.
Director Ravi Kumar expressed the album’s aim to cater to the preferences of today’s audience, especially those engaged with OTT platforms. He highlighted the success of a previous music video and emphasized the unconventional nature of the Bengali item song, shot in the Rajarhat area of Kolkata, portraying an anti-social backdrop. Suman Murari, the lyricist and music director, described the creative challenge of infusing diverse linguistic elements like Bengali, Hindi, English, and Bhojpuri into the lyrics, ensuring a fresh appeal while maintaining commercial viability.
Sandesh Dandekar, responsible for cinematography, shared insights into the efficient one-day shoot. Ark, the protagonist, expressed aspirations for the album to resonate with contemporary audiences, while Mahi, essaying the role of Laila, conveyed enthusiasm for contributing to today’s entertainment landscape.
The music video promises a blend of innovation and entertainment, poised to captivate viewers upon its release on Sunday, exclusively on the OTT platform. With its fusion of languages and dynamic visuals, “Laila” appears poised to make a mark in the realm of Bengali music videos, offering an engaging experience for audiences seeking fresh content.
