In a surprising turn of events, the talented actress Subhasree Ganguly has bounced back to the shooting floor just a few days after giving birth to her second child. Demonstrating her dedication to her craft, Subhasree is set to return to work in February, taking on the lead role in a new series directed by the acclaimed Raj Chakraborty.
This much-anticipated series, titled ‘Babli,’ is based on the popular novel of the same name by Buddhadev Guha. Adding to the excitement, Subhasree will be sharing the screen with the talented Abir Chatterjee, marking their first collaboration. The duo was initially slated to work together in an Indradeep Dasgupta film, but due to unforeseen circumstances, Subhasree withdrew from the project.
Directed by Raj Chakraborty, whose previous series ‘Abar Praloy’ garnered immense popularity on the Zee 5 platform, ‘Babli’ is expected to be another blockbuster. Zee 5, known for its diverse and engaging content, will host the series, marking Raj Chakraborty’s second venture on the OTT platform.
Interestingly, while Subhasree withdrew from the Indradeep Dasgupta film, he is still connected to Raj’s series as the music director, adding a unique twist to the collaboration. Fans can anticipate a fresh and dynamic pairing in Subhasree and Abir, bringing a new flavor to Raj Chakraborty’s storytelling.
