By 0 227 Views

Raazi starring Alia Bhatt has done something unimaginable, something not even trade pundits expected it to be. The movie first went on to cross the 100 crore mark and then it kept on crossing multiple movies in the list of Alia Bhatt’s highest grossing movies.

The movie was at second position with only a difference of few lakhs with Alia’s highest grossing movie Badrinath Ki Dulhania (116.60 crores). Raazi, now has officially become Alia Bhatt’s highest grossing movie till date. The movie has collected 70 lakhs on its 4th Wednesday and now stands at the grand total of 117.34 crores

It has surpassed every movie of Alia Bhatt. Another major reason for the celebration is, the movie relies solely on the shoulders of Alia Bhatt. The content surely is the winner but Alia is the one who has designed it to be.

Alia was recently asked about whether people like Sehmat in Raazi really exist, she said “I am sure they do. That’s how civilisation moves forward. It is true that self-preservation is the first instinct of every human being. Would anyone put the country before one’s own life the way Sehmat does in Raazi? Yes, of course! What about the jawaans who put their lives in danger to protect the country? So yeah, I think it isn’t impossible to have that level of selflessness even in today’s day and age, provided there is the right impetus to look beyond yourself. And Sehmat finds that impetus.”

Produced by Junglee Pictures and Dharma Productions, the film also stars Vicky Kaushal, Rajit Kapur, Soni Razdan and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles.
