Sayantika delivers a very good performance..
Anjan Dutta is excellent and does full justice to her character.
Anirban Bhattacharya springs a surprise with a promising show.
Rudrnail Ghosh, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Abhijit Guha, Neel Mukherjeea & Babul Supriyo are superb.
Movie Review: Direction, Music :
Srijit Mukherjee scores as director of the period drama. He has extracted wonderful performances out of his actors, cast them very appropriately,Such kind of scripts are exhausting and requires a lot homework; Srijit yet again keeps her research strong and facts correct.
Anupam Roy’s music is superb. The ‘ “Aaloshyo”’ song is a rage and will be met with deafening applause in the cinemas. All the other songs are also excellent. Anupam Ray’s lyrics need special mention. Background music (Neel Dutt) is a major asset. Editing (Pronoy Das Gupta) is sharp.
On the whole, UMA is a sureshot winner .
