Dev, born Deepak Adhikari, is one of the most prominent contemporary
stars of Bengali cinema. Beginning his film career in the mid-2000s,
he went on to establish himself through commercial entertainers,
action films, romantic dramas, socially rooted stories and historical
characters, while later expanding into film production and direction.

ABOUT DEV

Born Deepak Adhikari,
Dev began his journey towards cinema after studying Computer
Engineering and training in acting. He made his Bengali film debut
with Agnishapath.

His career changed significantly with
I Love You in 2007,
followed by the major commercial success of
Challenge in 2009.
The film established him as a major mainstream star and earned him
recognition for both acting and action performance.

During the 2010s, Dev became associated with large-scale commercial
cinema through films such as
Paglu, Challenge 2, Khoka 420,
Rangbaaz, Chander Pahar and
Amazon Obhijaan.

In the 2020s, he expanded his range with films such as
Tonic, Projapoti, Byomkesh O Durgo
Rahasya, Bagha Jatin, Pradhan, Tekka and
Khadaan, while increasingly
taking an active role in production and creative development.
