Soham Chakraborty was born on 4 March 1984 in Behala, Kolkata, West Bengal. He is an Indian actor, producer and television personality who has worked extensively in Bengali cinema. He later entered public life and politics as well.

Soham began his acting journey as a child artist in Bengali cinema. He became popularly known as Master Bittu and appeared in several films during his childhood, including Choto Bou, Mangal Deep, Nayan Moni, Jowar Bhata, Shakha Proshakha and Bhagya Debata.

His performances as a child artist earned him recognition, including Uttam Kumar Awards for his work in Jowar Bhata and Shakha Proshakha. His appearance in Satyajit Ray’s Shakha Proshakha remains one of the notable early chapters of his career.

After completing his education, Soham returned to mainstream Bengali cinema and appeared in Chander Bari, directed by Tarun Majumdar. This phase marked his transition from child artist to adult performer.
