Ritabhari ,Koushani and Abir Chatterjee Reunite for Windows Production’s Crime Thriller ‘Bohurupi’

In a much-anticipated collaboration, Tollywood sensations Ritabhari Chakraborty and Abir Chatterjee are set to grace the silver screen together once again, this time in Windows Production’s upcoming crime thriller, “Bohurupi.” Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, the film is scheduled for release during Durga Puja 2024.

Adding to the excitement, Koushani Mukherjee has officially joined the cast, marking her first venture with the esteemed production house.

Shiboprosad Mukherjee, not only an acclaimed actor but also co-director in the project, revealed that “Bohurupi” delves into one of the country’s most historical crimes. The film, conceived during the shoot of “Muktodhara” in 2012, is set to become the highest-budget production under their banner. The shooting, spanning 40 days, is the lengthiest in the careers of Shiboprosad and Nandita Roy. Locations including Bolpur, Baranagar, Beldanga, and Bantala will serve as the backdrop for this cinematic endeavor, commencing on March 12.

In a unique move, the directors plan to accompany the film release with a documentary, offering audiences a deeper insight into the making of “Bohurupi.” Renowned musicians Anupam Roy, Bonnie Chakraborty, and Prabuddha Banerjee are set to contribute to the film’s soundtrack, promising a captivating audio-visual experience for fans and cinephiles alike.
