In a highly anticipated collaboration, renowned director Srijit Mukherji is set to bring together an ensemble cast for his upcoming thriller ‘Tekka.’ The film, produced by Dev Entertainment, will star Tollywood heartthrob Dev alongside the talented Rukmini Maitra in lead roles.
What adds an extra layer of excitement to this project is the inclusion of the dynamic duo, Parambrata Chatterjee and Swastika Mukhopadhyay, in pivotal roles. Director Srijit, known for his exceptional storytelling and unique vision, has previously worked with Parambrata on six occasions and Swastika on three, establishing them as his favorite collaborators.
Anupam Roy, the maestro behind many soulful melodies, has been roped in to create the musical magic for ‘Tekka.’ With his track record of delivering memorable tunes, fans can expect the film’s soundtrack to be nothing short of spectacular.
The film, rumored to be a gripping thriller, is scheduled to commence its shooting in January, promising a perfect blend of suspense, drama, and stellar performances. Notably, this project marks the first collaboration between Dev and Rukmini, providing audiences with a fresh on-screen pairing.
Interestingly, Dev and Parambrata had previously shared the screen in ‘Password,’ showcasing their chemistry and acting prowess. Srijit’s decision to reunite them in ‘Tekka’ is expected to create cinematic magic once again.
It is worth noting that during the filming of ‘Dawshom Awbotaar,’ Srijit had proposed a collaboration with Rukmini, but the project did not materialize at that time. Now, with ‘Tekka,’ the director has finally brought the two talented actors together.
As the excitement builds around the film, industry insiders suggest that ‘Tekka’ might see a Durga Puja release in 2024.
