ZEE5 Bengali OTT : Lalbazaar 2, Shwetkali 2 and More Popular Series Are Coming Back

ZEE5 is all set to bring a fresh wave of Bengali entertainment with several new web series, returning popular franchises, animation shows and sports content. The streaming platform recently announced its upcoming Bengali content line-up in Kolkata.

The biggest attraction for Bengali OTT viewers will be the return of several popular shows. Lalbazaar 2, starring Anirban Bhattacharya, is coming back with a new story. Fans will also get to watch new seasons of Shwetkali, Shikarpur and Kalipata.

Another major project is Mahapralay, directed by Raj Chakraborty and featuring Saswata Chatterjee. The series will continue the story after Abaar Proloy 2 and is expected to be one of ZEE5’s major Bengali releases.

New Bengali Web Series on ZEE5

ZEE5 has also announced several fresh Bengali originals. The upcoming titles include Alur Dosh, Tarkata, Prem Shots, Asthir, Priyo Bondhu, Bakhtiyarer Swarnomudra, Nari Charitra Bejay Jotil and Nibba Nibbi.

These projects will feature different stories, genres and combinations of popular and new actors.

Animation and AI Content

ZEE5 is also expanding its content beyond traditional Bengali web series. The platform is planning animation and technology-based projects such as Garuda, Ek Yoddha Ki Gatha, Vikram Betal, Shiv Sati, Param Sundari Chandrakanta, Tirupati Balaji, Ram Anjaneya Yudh and Ayyappan.

A special children’s title, Shivlok Ke Kundakka Mandakka, will also be part of the upcoming content line-up.

Football Fans Get a Special Treat

Sports will be another important part of ZEE5’s upcoming plans. Viewers will be able to watch football content including FIFA, Bundesliga and Copa Italia on the platform.

With popular Bengali franchises, new web series, animation and sports content, ZEE5 is looking to attract a wider audience in the Bengali OTT market.

ZEE5 currently operates across more than 190 countries and offers content in several Indian languages. The platform is now focusing strongly on Bengali stories and wants to take regional content to audiences beyond Bengal.
