INIFD SALT LAKE IMBIBES PASSION FOR FASHION WITH ‘ELIXIR 2022’, THEIR ANNUAL GRADUATING FASHION SHOW

Carrying a legacy of over 25 years, INIFD Salt Lake, awarded as the only ‘Platinum Center’ across the globe showcased the best of fashion with purpose with ‘Elixir 2022’, their annual graduating fashion show. The theme for
this year is ‘Revival of Indian Art’, focusing on the weaves and fabrics of our country
in its creative splendour. Graduating students stepped out of their campus to present
their work on 17th August at ITC Royal Bengal in the austere presence of renowned
guests. Guided by their splendid faculty, the final year students unleashed their
creativity with their curated designs, which are the culmination of hard work and
innovation, carefully conveyed into the spirit of their theme.

With the advent of a sustained shift in focus of fashion designers towards a more
responsible attitude towards the fashion environment in the country, in order to stitch
concepts like sustainability and value of indigenous crafts in the mindset of emerging
designers, Indian Art needs to be incorporated into the fray. The students hope that
this is a first big step in identifying a way to address the changing climate of fashion
by creating an environment where Indian art and motifs are celebrated with pomp.
With INIFD Salt Lake winning the prestigious ‘Only Platinum Center’ Award, which
is a global recognition, served as the perfect platform for all students and emerging
designers. They recently celebrated the center’s award with a big celebration on their
campus, highlighting the institution’s strong reputation for academic delivery, stateof-the-art infrastructure, focus on hands-on experience and an organised and
dedicated internship cell. They also aid students in achieving 100% job placement
support every year. This award is another feather in INIFD Salt Lake’s cap,
continuing a 25-year run, bringing a new perspective on fashion and design, and
promoting professional excellence in the fields with its unmatched teacher education
expertise that integrates both theory and practice .

Elixir 2022 saw the students and models walk the ramp with aplomb and grace, in the
presence of renowned actor Abir Chatterjee, eminent fashion designers of the city,
eminent guests from the consulate, esteemed corporate guests, fashion retailers and
many more.
