Following the success of Mrigaya, director Abhiroop Ghosh has already begun work on his upcoming film, which promises to be another star-studded affair. If all goes according to plan, this new project will see the first on-screen pairing of popular actors Abir Chatterjee and Priyanka Sarkar. Joining them will be Bibriti Chatterjee, forming an exciting trio at the heart of the film. The movie is being produced by Mukesh Pandey.
Sources reveal that shooting is expected to commence in mid-August. The screenplay is currently being fine-tuned with full steam ahead. Audiences can also look forward to appearances from several leading stars of the Bengali entertainment industry, making this one of the most anticipated projects of the year.
Interestingly, this time, Abhiroop Ghosh is choosing to move away from the murder, violence, and action themes that characterized his previous works. Instead, the upcoming film will explore human relationships, weaving a story filled with romance. As per the script, a portion of the shoot will take place in Kolkata, while other scenes are likely to be filmed in Purulia.
It is worth noting that Priyanka Sarkar played a significant role in Ghosh’s Mrigaya, a performance praised by both audiences and critics alike.
With such a stellar cast and a compelling new direction, fans are eagerly awaiting more updates on Abhiroop Ghosh’s next cinematic venture.
