Dil Se, Spreading Happiness Donates Ambulance to Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Matri Bhavan Hospital

Philanthropic organisation Dil Se, Spreading Happiness marked its eighth anniversary with a meaningful contribution — the donation of a fully equipped ambulance to the Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Matri Bhavan Hospital, Kalighat. The initiative aims to improve emergency healthcare access for women, children, and the local community.

The Ambulance Donation Ceremony was attended by actor Koneenica Banerjee, actor Shreya Pandey, West Bengal State Youth Trinamool Congress Secretary, and Dr. Pranab Das Gupta, who extended their support to the cause.

Founded in 2017 by Alka Dalmia, Sangeeta Thakkar, and Manju Pachisia, Dil Se began by promoting eco-fashion to raise funds for charitable causes. Over the years, it has expanded into a wide range of welfare activities — from donating 501 artificial limbs at Mahavir Seva Sadan to supporting NGOs like MISSING, Ek Prayas, Premashree School for the Blind, Asha Niketan, Apne Aap, and Ishwar Sankalp. The foundation has also contributed to relief efforts during Cyclone Amphan and the Covid-19 pandemic, and has raised nearly ₹50 lakhs towards education, healthcare, and community development.

Speaking at the event, Co-founder Manju Pachisia said, “Our organisation began with a simple idea — to collect and sell new or nearly new garments at nominal prices and direct the proceeds to community welfare. Today, we are proud to donate an ambulance to Matri Bhavan, which will serve women and children in need.”

Co-founder Alka Dalmia added, “Donating an ambulance has been our dream since 2017. Today, through the power of collective giving, that dream has come true.”

Marking the occasion, Co-founder Sangeeta Thakkar said, “This milestone coincides with our eighth anniversary. With the support of family, friends, and donors, we have been able to turn small contributions into big change. This ambulance is a symbol of what collective effort can achieve.”

The donation reinforces Dil Se’s mission of “Spreading Happiness” by empowering communities and bridging healthcare gaps through compassion-driven initiatives.
