Speaking to the media, Mr. Surendra Kr. Sharma, General Secretary of the Youth Association of Mohammad Ali Park Durga Puja, emphasized their commitment to addressing pressing social issues. “The artistic vision of the mandap, designed by Gopal Das from Medinipur, features intricate Bengali handicrafts, including jute works and handmade decorations. This year’s idol highlights water as the source of life, stressing the need to fight water pollution and wastage,” he said, inviting everyone to join in the celebrations with their family and friends.
