Kolkata to Celebrate 25 Years of Raghab Chatterjee with Star-Studded Musical Extravaganza at Rabindra Sadan

The city is gearing up for a spectacular evening of music and celebration as Rabindra Sadan hosts the special event “Gaane Fusion-e Rajote Raghab 24” to mark 25 years of Raghab Chatterjee’s illustrious musical career. The event, scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM, will feature performances by two of India’s most revered musicians: the legendary Usha Uthup and the renowned percussionist Pandit Bickram Ghosh.

“Gaane Fusion-e Rajote Raghab 24” is not just a celebration of Raghab Chatterjee’s contributions to Bengali music but also a charitable endeavor. All proceeds from the event will be donated to “Hridaya,” a program dedicated to providing free heart surgeries for underprivileged children.

Raghab Chatterjee, who began his musical journey at the tender age of nine, has become a household name in the world of Bengali music. As a disciple of musical stalwarts Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty and Ustad Rashid Khan, Raghab has carved out a unique space for himself in the industry. His albums like Bhorer Alo, Tumi Nei Bole, Sharodia, and Bhubanamohini have captivated audiences, while his voice has graced numerous film soundtracks in both Kolkata and Mumbai. Among his many accolades are the ITC/SRA Scholarship, the R D Burman Award, and the Bangla Sangeet Samman. His performance of the ICC World Cup Cricket Theme Song in 2011 remains a highlight of his career.

The event promises to be an unforgettable experience for attendees, blending Raghab Chatterjee’s rich musical legacy with the vibrant performances of Usha Uthup and Pandit Bickram Ghosh. Beyond the celebration, it also underscores a commitment to a noble cause, with the proceeds going to support the “Hridaya” program, ensuring that children in need receive the medical assistance they deserve.
