Hanuman Ansh continued its surprising run at the Hindi box office on Day 23, collecting an estimated Rs. 9.50 crore — a 60 percent jump from the previous day’s Rs. 6 crore.
The devotional drama based on Neem Karoli Baba has been steadily gaining momentum, posting a two-day cume of Rs. 15.50 crore for the fourth week. Industry tracking suggests the film could record another uptick on Sunday and close its fourth weekend around Rs. 25 crore, which would take its running total to roughly Rs. 37 crore at the Indian box office.
What makes the performance notable is how Hanuman Ansh is closing the gap with the relatively bigger release Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. On Saturday, Toxic earned Rs. 13.50 crore, only about 30 percent higher than Hanuman Ansh’s collection that day.
The film opened to around Rs. 10 lakh nett and finished its first week at approximately Rs. 85 lakh. Collections dipped in the second week to about Rs. 45 lakh, but the film staged a strong comeback in week three, earning over Rs. 10 crore nett across that week.
Box office tracking lists Hanuman Ansh’s India collections as follows:
Week 1: Rs. 85 lakh
Week 2: Rs. 45 lakh
3rd Friday: Rs. 10 lakh
3rd Saturday: Rs. 90 lakh
3rd Sunday: Rs. 2.25 crore
3rd Monday: Rs. 1.15 crore
3rd Tuesday: Rs. 2.35 crore
3rd Wednesday: Rs. 1.50 crore
3rd Thursday: Rs. 1.90 crore
4th Friday: Rs. 6.00 crore
4th Saturday: Rs. 9.50 crore (est.)
Total: Rs. 26.95 crore nett
With the current trajectory and strong word-of-mouth, trade observers have already labelled Hanuman Ansh a "Clean Hit," and some estimates suggest it could push for a Blockbuster verdict by the end of its theatrical run. Such extended, word-of-mouth-driven runs remain rare but have precedent in recent performances of devotional and mythological films.
