Kolkata: Bengali cinema stars Koel Mallick and Parambrata Chattopadhyay are all set to share the screen once again. The duo, who have built a strong professional association over the years, are coming together for a new Bengali film, with Parambrata taking charge as the director. The shooting for the upcoming project has already begun.

Koel Mallick and Parambrata’s Long Association

Koel Mallick and Parambrata Chattopadhyay’s professional association goes back nearly two decades. One of their early collaborations was Shubhodrishti (2005).

Interestingly, Koel had previously recalled a memorable moment from the sets of the film. During a song-and-dance sequence, while the rest of the team was busy rehearsing, Parambrata, then a young actor, was reportedly sitting in a corner reading a book.

From Co-Stars to Director and Actor

Their latest collaboration takes their professional relationship into a new space, with Parambrata Chattopadhyay directing Koel Mallick.

The duo have previously worked together in films including Hemlock Society, Highway, Bony and the Jawker Dhan franchise. Their chemistry across these projects has made their latest reunion particularly interesting for Bengali cinema audiences.
