ITC’s Sunrise Spices, one of India’s premier spice brands, has announced the launch of the “Ghore Ghore Durga” contest, bringing the festive cheer of Durga Puja to every corner of West Bengal. Aimed at celebrating the vibrant culture and rich traditions of Puja, the contest invites 1,500 Durga Puja committees from 23 districts to showcase their creative interpretations of the festival.
This unique contest begins with all participating Puja committees creating captivating performances to the soulful beats of the iconic Dashabhujo song. Each performance will aim to capture the essence of “Pujo Culture,” highlighting the artistic representation of Bengal’s heritage and cultural grandeur. Following the initial showcase, a panel of experts will shortlist 250 participants, who will be further evaluated based on their pandal decoration, idol design, and thematic innovation.
Out of these, the top 50 entries will be selected for on-ground judging, where the best pandals will be identified through physical visits and interactions. The grand finale will culminate with the announcement of the top five winners on the auspicious ninth day of Durga Puja, celebrating the rich artistic diversity and community spirit that are the hallmarks of this festival.
Speaking about the initiative, a spokesperson from ITC Sunrise Spices said, “With the ‘Ghore Ghore Durga’ contest, we aim to spotlight the unparalleled creativity and devotion that each Puja committee brings to this festival. This contest is not just about winning but about recognizing the passion and spirit of Pujo that lives in every neighborhood across Bengal.”
The contest promises to be an exciting journey, filled with vibrant colors, creative expression, and the shared love for Ma Durga. The winners will be honored with grand prizes and the opportunity to be celebrated as the pride of Bengal.
