Kareena Kapoor Khan has reacted to the upcoming box office clash between her film Daayra and Vibe, which is also scheduled to release on September 18, 2026.

Kareena, along with Prithviraj Sukumaran, director Meghna Gulzar, producers Vineet Jain and Dr Jayantilal Gada, and Junglee Pictures CEO Amrita Pandey, attended the trailer launch of Daayra at a multiplex in Mumbai.

While the release of Daayra is just around the corner, September is turning out to be an especially interesting month for Kareena Kapoor Khan’s family, with multiple films involving her immediate family and extended family members arriving in theatres.

Daayra Releases On September 18

Daayra, directed by Meghna Gulzar and featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is scheduled to release in theatres on September 18, 2026.

The film’s trailer was launched in Mumbai in the presence of the lead cast, director, producers and representatives from Junglee Pictures. The event brought the spotlight firmly onto the upcoming release and its September theatrical date.

During the trailer launch, Kareena Kapoor Khan was asked about the release-date clash between Daayra and Vibe. Rather than expressing concern over the competition, the actress responded positively and praised Kunal Kemmu.

“Kunal is an outstanding actor, one of the best that we have in our industry. No one does his comic timing like Kunal. I feel there’s place in two cinemas for two great films. I know that Vibe is going to do well. It’s going to be fun and comic. People are going to see a different side to Kunal.”

Kareena went a step further and said that she would personally benefit if both films succeed at the box office, given her connection to the two projects.

Smiling, the actress remarked:

She then expressed confidence that both films would perform well, adding that she was “very, very sure” about their prospects.
