Bollywood’s iconic duo Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are set to reunite in the much-anticipated action-thriller King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film is scheduled to begin shooting on May 18, 2025, in Mumbai.

After the blockbuster success of Pathaan, fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of the SRK-Deepika pairing, and King promises to deliver high-octane action and emotional drama. Initially, Deepika’s involvement was uncertain due to her maternity break, but she is now confirmed for a special extended cameo, with her scenes expected to be filmed in October.
The star-studded cast of King includes Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma. The film’s music will be composed by Sachin–Jigar, while Anirudh Ravichander will handle the background score.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King is eyeing a late 2026 theatrical release, and industry insiders are already predicting it to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
With Deepika and Shah Rukh Khan reuniting on screen once again, King is poised to be a cinematic spectacle for audiences across the globe.
