Mirzapur: The Movie had an excellent second day at the Indian box office, collecting approximately Rs. 31.50 crore nett. The film witnessed a strong 25 per cent jump over its opening day collection of Rs. 25 crore nett, marking solid growth at the ticket window.

What makes the growth even more impressive is the fact that the first day was a holiday. Taking that factor into account, the real value of the second-day jump is closer to 60 per cent, which is a stellar surge and bodes well for the film’s full theatrical run.

The growth was seen across most major circuits, with Maharashtra and Karnataka recording some of the best gains. The Hindi-speaking markets witnessed comparatively lower growth, largely because the holiday factor was more significant on Friday. However, the fact that the film managed to grow despite that advantage on the opening day is a positive sign.

Gujarat also appeared to be heading towards a drop during the early part of the day, but the circuit eventually finished with growth. The only decline came from Bihar, which is considered a normal trend for a big opener, particularly when the first day benefits from a holiday.

Delhi-UP continues to be the leading circuit for the film. The movie recorded bumper occupancies across all major centres in the circuit on Saturday, further strengthening its box-office prospects.

After two days, the cumulative box office collection of Mirzapur: The Movie stands at approximately Rs. 56.50 crore nett in India.

The advance bookings for Sunday are also showing healthy growth over Saturday. Based on the current trend, the film could target around Rs. 35 crore nett on Sunday.

If the movie manages to achieve that figure, its opening weekend collection could cross the Rs. 90 crore nett mark, which would be an outstanding result for the film.

At the current pace, Mirzapur: The Movie is tracking as a SUPER HIT. If the film manages to maintain strong collections during the weekdays, it could potentially go on to achieve a BLOCKBUSTER verdict.
