Kolkata: A new chapter in Bengali cinema is set to unfold with Ample Dream Developers announcing five feature films across different genres. Under the leadership of producer Dr. Amit Kumar Sinha, the production house is looking to create a diverse line-up combining commercial entertainment with content-driven storytelling.
The five films were scheduled to be unveiled at a grand mega event in Kolkata on August 22, 2026, with the posters of all five projects being launched together. The lineup spans genres ranging from crime and mystery to drama and journeys, bringing together established performers as well as new talent.
A New Vision for Bengali Cinema
According to the production house’s vision, Ample Dream Developers aims to move beyond conventional commercial formulas and explore stories that can appeal to a wider audience. The slate brings together different genres while focusing on a balance between mainstream entertainment and contemporary storytelling.
The production house also aims to provide opportunities to emerging actors, filmmakers and other creative talents. With five projects being introduced together, the banner is looking to establish a strong presence in the Bengali film industry.
A Special Date for the Producer
The August 22 event also carried a personal significance for producer Dr. Amit Kumar Sinha, as the date coincided with the birthday of his son, Evan Sinha. The professional announcement therefore became part of a special family occasion as well.
Industry Professionals Take on New Roles
The five-film slate also marks a new phase for industry professionals Siddharth Dasgupta and Rajat Saha.
Siddharth Dasgupta, the founder of Silver Screen Dream Production House, has been associated with PR, marketing, branding and event management in the Bengali film industry for several years. He is now stepping into production and is associated with the five projects as a Line Producer.
Rajat Saha, head of Rajat Saha Enterprise, is also joining the projects as a Line Producer. Having worked as an Executive Producer on several Bengali films, Saha is now expanding his involvement in film production.
