Kolkata 15 April 2018: India’s only destination for kids fashion, Junior’s Fashion Week showcased the Spring 2018 collections of international brands on April 15 at The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata.
With the modish and trendy collection showcase of brands like U. S. Polo Assn. Kids, The Children’s Place and Flying Machine Boyzone, JFW created a stir across the kids fashion industry.
U. S. Polo Assn. Kids showcased a miscellany of striper and overdyed polo tees, graphic round neck tees, trendy washed denim. Adding to the glamorous quotient, USPA showcased henley tees in playful colors, lively garment dyed cargo shorts and knit dresses with the brand’s signature stars and stripes print.
Flying Machine Boys’ groovy Spring Summer collection brought in cool, trendy styles for young boys, combining Flying Machine’s signature styles with catchy, contemporary trends in children’s fashion.
Mr. Alok Dubey, CEO, Lifestyle Brands at Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd., says, “The Flying Machine wardrobe has always been unmistakably identifiable with the youth. Staying true to our nature of translating a youthful exuberance on to our clothes is something we take immense pride in.”
“JFW is a great platform for Flying Machine Boys, not just to convey our offerings to a bigger audience, but also to present our collection with a brand-new perspective. The event, we believe, would create an ultra-receptive platform to showcase our collection. The scarcity of kid’s fashion in the market paves the way for fashion-forward brands in the category to come to the fore and such events are a strong foundation for the same,” Mr. Alok added.
The Children’s Place showcased everything from basics to the most stylish, must-have outfits, all designed to keep up with kids’ busy, fun-filled lives. It included dresses, skirts with tropical botanicals and extra girly details (like embroidery & lace!). The collection also included conversational graphics, cool prints, beachy pastels and button-downs, polos and shorts.
Helming the styling department was Kolkata’s prominent salon Bridgette Jones, while ‘The Baby Stories’ captured memories on the reel for Junior’s Fashion Week Kolkata edition.
The JFW Runway was a glitzy affair in town and was attended by HNI parents and buyers, influential mothers, fashion influencers, representatives of leading fashion houses, notable media channels among other eminent personalities from the world of Kids Wear industry.
