Aniket Chattopadhyay's 'Shankar Mudi' is a movie directed by Aniket Chattopadhyay. It stars Soumitra Chatterjee, Shakuntala Barua, Kharaj Mukherjee, Saswata Chatterjee, Biswanath Basu, Kanchan Mullick and Ankita Chakraborty. The film was scheduled to release on April 8, but has been postponed owing to elections in West Bengal. The makers are now planning to release in May.
Ater going "yes, no, maybe" for months, Sujoy Ghosh is ready to begin shooting Kahaani 2 in Kalimpong from today . The unit will remain camped in the hill station for three weeks. While the cast includes Arjun Rampal and Jugal Hansraj apart from Vidya Balan, several actors from Bengal have been approached to play key roles. If all goes well, Saswata Chatterjee, Kharaj Mukherjee and Tota Roychoudhury will be seen in the movie.

Peter Mukherjea has sued CBFC to stop 'Dark Chocolate' release which have led the makers to postpone the release. “Whatever has been said in the notice is completely untrue. The notice says that whatever is in the film might resemble Peter Mukherjea’s life. It’s a dangerous statement. Does that mean they are saying whatever we have shown in the film is actually what happened to him. 'Dark Chocolate' is also a fiction film,” said the director.
Bengali director Animesh Roy is all set with his next project, 'Ekti Golpo Na', a thriller and has roped in actors Nigel Akkara and Sayani Dutta. "This film is about how youngsters come to this city with a lot of dreams and how, through a lot of ups and downs, some of these visions are realized while others fall apart," said the director. The film, which is set to go on the floors from March 3 will also star Rana Mitra, Trishan Chatterjee, Arab among others.

Sil will start shooting his next Byomkesh flick after Har Har Byomkesh (HHB) in June. The film, based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay's Amriter Mrityu, will have Abir Chatterjee, Sohini Sarkar and Ritwick Chakraborty reprising their roles as the sleuth, Satyabati and Ajit, respectively .
Filmmaker Arindam Sil, whose last film ‘Har Har Byomkesh’ was a superhit is planning to make a sequel of ‘Shabor’ and speculations are rife that Saswata Chatterjee and Jaya Ahsan have been roped in for the lead roles. Titled as ‘Eagoler Chokh… The Goyenda Shabor’, the film produced by Shree Venkatesh Films will go on floors on February 24.
