20 March, 2016 : The City of Joy witnessed one of the biggest extravaganzas this year with the ILPA FASHION SHOW 2016, at Hyatt Regency on March 18.
The long-awaited event, saw its banquet decorated exclusively for the special event with exuberant screens and wonderful acoustics.
At the event, President of ILPA, Mr Satyabrata Mukherjee called the eminent sponsors and partners on stage and expressed his gratitude for their support. The president went on to say, “We have good infrastructure and products and a few of the brands are working very good, and have become big brands all over the world. Without their support we could not have done it."
The show took off with a banging showcase of Maple designer leather bags on ramp walked down by some of the top models followed by the other brands included Rachana Banerjee and Saheb donning designer Prithwiraj Das creations. Following the first sequence cricketer Sreevats Goswami came sauntering down the ramp wearing a black shirt and cotton trousers and GM- Hyatt, Britta Leick-Milde wearing Nidhi & Palak Sani creations carrying Hunt leather bags.
The third sequence saw actress Sreya Pande wearing a gorgeous red cocktail gown along with, Saheb, Sreevats Goswami, Satyabrata Mukherjee walking the ramp for Rene. The fourth sequence saw actors Suchandra and Anindita walking the ramp for Shri Exports while the fifth sequence witnessed actor Sayani Datta in a wonderful red gown walking the ramp with a glitzy red leather handbag for Overseas Leathergood Company Pvt Ltd. She was wearing a Indroneel Mukherjee creation. The sequence also saw Lopamudra walking the ramp.
The sixth and seventh sequences say Punjabi actor Paramjeet Kaur and Arijit Dutta sizzle the ramp for Kompanero and Gargi Roychowdhury walking gracefully down the ramp for Balaji Leather Creation respectively.
However, the highlight of the evening was when Rituparna Sengupta walked the ramp of ILPA. The actor also said," ILPA is a fantastic brand and all are my friends here, especially Adhar (Adhar Sahani - Director - ILPA), and all others. Thank you for having me here. I am touched and honoured." Adhar Sahani said, “It is a wonderful event and we hope to keep on bringing it back every year in a bigger and better manner.”
