Watch or Not?: I would recommend watching this
Kamaleswar Mukherjee has understood what the audience what to see and what the should see in this film and balanced both in his airborne drama 'Cockpit'. The film revolves around Captain Dibyendu Palit who has lost his father in a plane crash. He himself faces the same situation where he has to land a damaged flight flying with 146 lives! However, one can watch the film for the sake of the gripping storytelling. .
Cockpit Script Analysis :
What an amazing script written by Kamaleswar Mukherjee! I felt like I am time traveling while watching the film. There are too many dialogues in the film . A well written scripts teamed up with excellent performance.
Cockpit Movie Review: Star Performance :
Each and every character fits their bill perfectly.Dev gives yet another strong performance. He is impressive as Captain Dibyendu Palit ,Rukmini Maitra does a much better job than what I expected her to do. Koel Mullick does a brilliant job .Prosenjit Chatterjee is doing a cameo in this airborne drama who plays Dev's father and will appear in the protagonist's flashback.
Priyanka Sarkar, Raj Chakrabarty, Shataf Figar, Roja Paromita Dey, Paran Bandopadhyay,Anindya ,Sayani , child artist Arshiyas and others everybody play their role to perfection. The entire supporting cast is one another reason to watch this film
Review: Direction & Technical Aspects:
Intense is the word I would use to describe this movie. Those who love true incidents films, this one is a must watch for them. Even if you are not a huge fan of true incidents films, you are bound to fall in love with this one. That’s the magic touch of an outstanding director. Kamaleswar Mukherjee., take a bow! Music director Arindam delivers very good songs which have been used judiciously in the narrative. Lyrics, by Kaushik Ganguly, Anindya Chatterjee & Prasen. are fine. Binitranjan Moitra’s background score is appropriate. DOP by Shubhankar Bhar, is eye-filling. Several scenes from the film touched me .Editing, by Rabiranjan Maitra., is sharp.
Review: The Last Word:
I am going with a 4/5 for this. Cockpit is definitely a must watch.
